Swappin'

Went to the Coastal Swap Meet, in Abbotsford yesterday and today. It rained lightly a little both mornings and the sun came up in the afternoon on both days. I sold a couple things and had a couple beers. Awesome!
I would have liked to take this one home

Some cool stuff

Westwood

Stolen from another site(sorry, but I thought it was cool!):

Tucked high on a mountain in Coquitlam BC, a Vancouver suburb, was a modest yet challenging race circuit named Westwood. Built in 1959 with financing by members of the Sports Car Club of British Columbia, it was Canada's first purpose-built road course. Featuring an entertaining variety of turns and hilly sections Westwood attracted some of the finest drivers from the Pacific Northwest along with a number of international stars. Gilles Villeneuve, Keke Rosberg, Bobby Rahal, Alan Berg and Michael Andretti were among them, and even the great Sir Stirling Moss made an appearance.

A&W Thursday Cruise-In

I went with Trevor this evening to the Maple Ridge A&W, they have a show there Thursday evenings, they don't officially start until next week but the weather was good so we headed out, there were a few nice cars out. On the way way back we stopped at Ben's and had a beer, then back to Trevor's where we met up with Andrew and BSed for a couple of hours. Another good day!

A good day!

I went to Ben's shop this afternoon

Then we went to Trevor's for the first fire-up of his '33. Things are coming together and looking good, he drove it outside under it's own power so we could see it in the daylight.

Poor Cadillac

My brother found this '56 Cadillac in Vancouver, it was sitting in a small garage that looked like it was going to fall over. They knocked down the garage and the car is still there, it's rusty and doesn't look savable.

Trevors '33 is getting done!

This is summer of 2009, in shakedown mode.

Mmm... fresh paint!

More fresh paint!

Clean up the frame, fresh paint on front suspension, almost ready for the body to go on.

Body is back on and looking better than ever!

Getting there, some assembly required.
Drilled!
